Our model for living is Jesus Christ. His life was centered on doing the will of the Father. On loving God and loving people. Matthew 20:28 says that Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. In the same way we strive to live our lives humbly, serving others and our Father.
When with our actions and hearts we echo Paul's statement that "to live is Christ and to die is gain." missions becomes more than a trip. Missions becomes life. It happens when we go to class, eat, exercise... It invades every area of our lives.
In addition to daily missional living we plan or help out with several projects throughout the school year. Including:
On campus and Residence Hall Outreach
Kickball Tournament and Mohawks for Missions (raising money for mission projects)
Spring Break Mission Trips
Dallas, TX - 2009
- We hung out with refugees from place like Iran, welded a fence for a church, helped organize a food bank, and had an amazing, life changing time.

Bright Life Farm - Princeton, KY - 2011
-
We spent the week serving at Bright Life Farm, a home for mentally and developmentally challenged adults. We spent a majority of the time painting inside the homes. We also spent time with the residents as we sang together, did craft projects, played BINGO, and got to know them better.
Fall Break Mission Trips
Memphis, TN- 2008
- For a week we served the homeless, disabled, and poor with Shine in the Dark Ministry. We served food at different locations all over the city, helped with a clothing give-a-way in the projects, and played cards and danced with some people who are handicapped.

St. Jacob, IL - 2009
We traveled to St. Jacob (just outside of St. Louis) to help at Cornerstone Farms, which is a full-service equestrian center and home to Bridge the Divide a non-profit ministry that exists to provide meaningful experiences for children and adults with disabilities. We worked on the farm preparing barns for winter, serving Bridge the Divide, and assisting in therapeutic riding classes.
